Confidentiality and Data Storage

Prior to your initial session or class, you will be asked to complete a Client Form which will be held on file for the required amount of time following treatment/attendance.  Only information necessary for your treatment/class attendance is gathered.  Information we routinely require is name, home address, personal email, contact number, Doctor’s name and surgery, information on health/medical history and treatment requirements.  It is not used for any other purposes.  Everything written on the form and discussed between client and practitioner is entirely confidential.  Your information and records will never be shared, unless it is required by due process of law.

 

How Long We Keep Your Data

In accordance with UK tax law, records must be kept in safe custody for seven years from the date of the last session/class and in the event of death, all records will be destroyed appropriately.

 

Your Rights

You have the right to access any personal information that we process about you and to request what information about the personal data we hold and the purpose for processing.  If we hold any incorrect or inaccurate data about you, you have the right to ask us to correct and/or complete the information.  You also have the right to request erasure of your personal data or to restrict processing (where applicable) in accordance with the data protection laws; as well as to object to any direct marketing from me.

 

Marketing Consent

We would like to send regular newsletters to keep you updated on Nia classes, events and other relevant information related to this practice.  You can opt out or unsubscribe at any time.
